Optical and UV astronomy, overviewThe study of stars and other astronomical objects by means of radiation emitted in the range of 1,000 to 10,000 A is considered. Spectrum classification, astrophysical observations, distribution in space and physical properties of celestial objects are used to develop a view of the formation and evolution of the universe.
