Low-gravity dispersion of solids in liquid metalsA number of space processes, particularly the preparation of various types of composite materials, involve mixtures of liquid metals and solid particles. The two predominant problems associated with the attainment of such mixtures are; (1) free dispersion of the solids, possible only if they are perfectly wetted by the liquid, and (2) mixture stability. The results of related experimental investigations and theoretical studies are presented.
