Crystals for surface wave acoustic substrates, appendix CThe growth of single crystals in a space environment is discussed. Several crystals which could be beneficially grown in weightless conditions are identified. For surface wave acoustic applications, the surface perfection and internal crystal perfection which are obtainable in space, are favorably indicated.
