Pressurized feeding on the GEGAS systemA continuous process to feed coal directly into a pressurized gasifier is described. Coal fines are heated and mixed with a recycled tar binder and extruded through a novel die system against gasifier pressure. Performance data on a 2 in. system is given and scale up to a larger 6 in. system is described.
