Review of spectroscopic data for measurement of stratospheric speciesThe role of various infrared techniques in measurements of trace gases in the stratosphere were surveyed. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of instruments exhibiting ultrahigh resolution (i.e., less than or equal to 0.00/cm) such as laser heterodyne spectrometers.
