Far infrared spectra of H2 mixtures of H2-CH4 and H2-HeLaboratory measurements of the far infrared absorption of H2 and of mixtures of H2 with CH4 and He are presented, and fits to the pure H2 spectra with a semiempirical line shape are described. Such results are needed in analyzing the thermal emission from the atmospheres of the outer planets.
