System identification: A question of uniqueness, revisitedQuestions of uniqueness of parameters which were obtained from a system identification algorithm were investigated. The local properties of the surface defined by the error function were used. Static and dynamic numerical experiments on determinate and indeterminate trusses and on shear buildings illustrate the procedure. Examples are given of loading and sensor configurations which produce unique parameters
