On the Measurement of Atmospheric Density Using Dial in the O2 A-Band (770 Nm)Differential Absorption Lidar (DIAL) measurements in the A-band of molecular oxygen were suggested as a means of profiling atmospheric density. Progress towards this capability is reported.
