Carbon Nanotubes: Properties and FunctionalizationA viewgraph presentation (including an explanation for each slide) gives an overview of nanoscale hybrid materials, chemistry in confined environments, and single molecule/single atom detection. The allotropes of carbon are described and illustrated, and the production of nanotubes is outlined. Single-wall nanotube interaction and irradiation are discussed. The formation of peapods in PLV material is shown.
