The ionosphere above Alma Ata during a solar eclipseThe eclipse effect was manifested during the second phase: the ionization of the F1- and F2-layers decreased and the minimum effective heights of E and F2 increased due to recombination processes. The manner in which electron density is distributed over the levels was ascertained from analysis of N(t) curves.
