Neuter docking mechanism studyNeuter (or androgynous) docking systems that allow space vehicles with similar or identical docking hardware to dock are discussed. Basic requirements applicable to docking mechanism design, four neuter concepts that were studied, and the concept selected by the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center for detailed investigation are presented.
