Effects on sustained performance of time-sharing a three-phase code transformation task /3P-COTRAN/.A group of 20 highly trained subjects were divided randomly into five equal groups to time-share the 3P-COTRAN task with a different task combination of a multitask performance battery (MTPB) used by Alluisi (1969). The effects of the time-sharing on the 3P-COTRAN performance and the effects of 3P-COTRAN on the time-shared MTPB performances are analyzed.
