Use of Remote Sensing in the Analysis of Snowmelt FloodsAn evaluation was made of remote sensing data, particularly ERTS imagery, in an effort to establish its suitability as an aid in determining percent of snow cover and water content of snow on the ground. Resulting data are used with mathematical simulation models to forecast spring snowmelt floods.
