The peculiar galaxy NGC 523Electrographic and spectroscopic observations have been obtained of the peculiar galaxy NGC 523. The observations suggest that the pecularities of the system result from a close encounter by two dwarf galaxies, with tidal interaction responsible for the formation of the galactic bridge and tails.
