Ground state properties of spin-alined atomic hydrogenTheoretical calculation of the ground state properties of spin-alined atomic hydrogen by the Monte Carlo method. The interatomic interaction, as described by the results of Kolos and Wolniewicz (1965), is made fit to a Morse potential form. An appropriate trail wavefunction is formed from the short-range part of the WKB solution for a pair of atoms interacting through a Morse potential.
