Determining an optimal set of research experimentsDescription of a procedure for optimal selection of research experiments to be performed aboard the Space Shuttle. The procedure is designed to provide the study team with a credible approach to their task. The procedure is characterized as methodologically sound and based on assumptions which reasonably approximate the real conditions. The data-gathering techniques proposed are accepted by scientifically trained personnel.
