System trades for the SEOS telescopeThe Synchronous Earth Observation Satellite (SEOS) is a geostationary system which provides unique possibilities for earth surveillance. Questions of SEOS applications are considered, taking into account the employment of the Large Earth Survey Telescope. Aspects of performance and costs are examined. The generation of a value function in connection with a quantitative ranking of the applications is discussed along with an analysis performed to determine those parameter values which will maximize mission performance capability at given levels of system cost.
