The use of a model of human thermoregulation during the Apollo and Skylab programsA model of thermoregulation in man was used operationally during the Apollo and Skylab programs. The evolution of this description of thermoregulation is discussed as well as the supporting research programs that led to its growth in representational detail and operational accuracy. A discussion of the operational use of the model is presented as well as future applications of the model.
