Nonlinear motion analysis of flexible satellitesThe article reviews research on pointing accuracies of flexible satellites with regard to derived equations of motion of individual elements and composite bodies. The solution of these equations may be achieved through the formulation of a set of singularly perturbed equations by eliminating the generalized position vector. These equations are generally solved by a method of asymptotic expansions if certain convergence criteria are satisfied. The analysis may be applied to dual-spin flexible satellites.
