Polychloroprene flexible foam as a reference materialPolychloroprene flexible foam was evaluated as a reference material for fire toxicity tests. A commercial sample was evaluated using nine different test conditions of the USF methodology. The material exhibited a wide range of relative toxicity depending on the test conditions. Times to incapacitation and times to death were shortest at 16 ml/sec (1 l/min) air flow, at any fixed heating rate and upper limit temperature.
