An upper limit to the interstellar abundance of the HCN dimerAn unsuccessful search is described for the J = 7-6 transition of HCN ... HCN in several interstellar clouds known to be rich in HCN. An upper limit to the abundance of the dimer relative to the monomer is typically 1 percent. It is suggested that this implies a low abundance for similar weakly bound species.
