Surface composition of PlutoBroadband (J, H, K and L) and narrowband (1.5- to 3.7-micron) infrared photometry of Pluto has been conducted in order to check previous ambiguous observations of methane frost on the planet's surface. In detail, the match between a laboratory spectrum of methane frost and the observed spectrum of Pluto is not good. Nevertheless, the photometric observations suggest the presence of methane in some form.
