State-of-the-art methods for computing the electromagnetic interaction of lightning with aircraftNuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP) coupling codes and methods are evaluated and summarized. The differences between NEMP and lightning interaction with aircraft are discussed and critical parameters peculiar to lightning are examined.
