Airborne Doppler lidar wind measuring system: Application to atmospheric problemsThe ability to map velocities over a large area on one side of the aircraft flight path offers a number of opportunities to elucidate scientific questions related to atmospheric dynamics. Several types of experiments which are possible are described.
