Spectral methods for problems in complex geometriesTechniques that permit the efficient application of spectral methods to solve problems in nearly arbitrary geometries are presented. These methods were found to be viable alternatives to finite difference and finite element processes. The spectral methods applied are extensions of the standard techniques of separation of variables to the solution of arbitrarily complicated problems.
