The effects of geography on domestic fixed and broadcasting satellite systems in ITU Region 2The paper discusses the effects of geography on service arcs and on the various techniques used to achieve frequency reuse and applies the results to the domestic fixed and broadcasting satellite systems of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Region 2. The effects of an arc latitude, size, and shape are considered. Earth-station and satellite antenna discrimination is outlined.
