Investigation of air transportation technology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1980Several technological aspects governing air transportation at major airports were investigated. Three major areas were emphasized: (1) development of automated decision making for dynamic scheduling of runway operations at a major airport; (2) flight evaluation of the performance of low cost Loran C receivers; and (3) design of microcomputer based electronic flight displays for general aviation aircraft.
