Satellite measurements of the isotopic composition of galactic cosmic raysThe individual isotopes of galactic cosmic ray Ne, Mg, and Si at about 100 MeV/nucleon have been resolved with an rms mass resolution of about 0.20 amu. The results suggest that the cosmic ray source is enriched in Ne-22, Mg-25, and Mg-26 when compared to the solar system. It is suggested that the cosmic ray source and solar system material were synthesized under different conditions.
