Theoretical microwave spectral constants for C3H/+/ and C4H/+/A number of linear conjugated carbon chain molecules have been observed in the interstellar gas. It has been suggested that ion molecule chemistry schemes may explain the formation of these compounds. In the present paper, theoretical bond lengths and rotation constants are obtained for C3H(+) and C4H(+). Calculations for C3 are used to assess the accuracy of the former. Recent results for C2H(+) are examined.
