A study of the relativistic rise in ionization as measured by ion chambers of different designTechniques for scheduling with resource-constraints are investigated. In particular, the use of zero-one programming and dispatching methods are discussed. An algorithm which combines characteristics of both existing methods to generate a valid schedule to experiments is introduced. Examples and test results are presented to illustrate the feasibility of the use of this algorithm on data typical to Spacelab missions.
