4C 18.68 - A QSO with precessing radio jetsHigh-resolution VLA radio maps at 20 cm and 6 cm wavelengths of the quasar 4C 18.68 reveal an extended halo of about 20 arcsec containing complex curved structures extending east and west from the central source. The central source has a flat spectrum, while the spectrum generally steepens with distance from the center of the structure. The details of the structure and polarization of the emission suggest relativistic ejection in opposing directions by a precessing or rotating double jet with a period of about 50,000 years, consistent with the presence of two interacting massive bodies in the central source.
