A Pathologist's view on the effects of very long exposure to weightlessnessSpeculations concerning the probable consequences of exposure to weightlessness during periods of one year or more and how these effects compare with aging are made. Orthostatic and excercise intolerance, neurological and muscular effects, cell division and DNA synthesis, tissue hypoxia, and edema are discussed in reference to the in-space and return-to-Earth situations.
