Reducing Thermal Expansivity of Composite PanelsCoefficient of thermal expansion of laminated graphite/epoxy composite panels altered after panels cured by postcuring heat treatment. Postcure decreases coefficient of thermal expansion by increasing crosslinking between molecules. Treatment makes it possible to reprocess costly panels for requisite thermal expansivity instead of discarding them.
