Compositional Segregation in Unidirectionally Solidified Solid Solution CrystalsA computer program was developed to model compositional segregation in unidrectionally solidified solid-solution-semiconducting crystals. The program takes into account the variations of the interface segregation constant and solidification rate with composition. Calculations are performed for the HgCdTe solid solution system that is compared with experimental data.
