An H-alpha velocity study of S252The H II region S252 (NGC 2175) was studied by means of H-alpha radial velocities and line widths. The velocity structure appears to be dominated by the western ionization front, abutting a dense neutral cloud which is a CO source, and by symmetry abut the ionizing star. This data, together with other studies of CO, H167-alpha, and the H II radio continuum, allow construction of a model of S252. The H II model is basically a double blister formed by a luminous hot star being located between two orthogonal, elongated neutral clouds.
