Peak output voltage varies linearly with input-pulse duration. Circuit converts pulses of varying widths (as from sound-velocity instrumentation or tachometers) into analog voltages. Peak voltage increases in proportion to pulse width. Voltage used to drive an x-y plotter or storage oscilloscope.
