Magnetron Sputtering Deposits Corrosion-Resistant AlloyDense, amorphous, metallic film resists corrosion attack by acid. Coatings thermally stable up to 800 degrees C and made corrosion resistant by proper choice of sputtering deposition conditions. Protective, corrosionresistant coatings applied to process equipment that comes in contact with aqueous, neutral, or acidic solutions in chemical, petroleum, and paper industries, in wastewater treatment, and in heat exchangers.
