A marsupial model for the investigation of gravitational effects on early developmentThe application of the marsupial mouse to the study of gravitational effects on early development is discussed. The benefits provided to microgravity experiments by the unique development of the species are described. The uterogestation and exterogestation, and the formation of the vestibular and musculoskeletal systems in the marsupial mouse are examined.
