Spatial correlations in multifractalsSpatial correlations within multifractals or fractal measures are considered. It is shown how scaling dimensions can be used to predict scaling laws for spatial correlation functions. It is concluded that the overlaid singularity picture does not provide an adequate description of the spatial properties of multifractals, and that blob concepts seem to provide a much more suitable description of multifractal correlations.
