X-ray objective grating spectrographA grazing incidence X-ray spectrograph for investigating the spectra of cosmic X-ray sources is described. The overall instrument design is reviewed, and the key components of the spectrograph, including the gratings, telescope, and detector, are examined. Preliminary performance measurements are reported and plans for the instrument are addressed.
