Measurement Of Composition In Transparent Model AlloyVariation of FTIR technique developed to enable study of growth of cells of different solid phase in unidirectional solidification of these organic mixtures, which serve as transparent anologs of opaque monotectic metal alloys. Study of organic analogs expected to contribute to understanding of formation of aligned rods and particles in directional solidification of metal alloys. Advantage of technique is redistribution of material caused by solidification determined after fact, to very fine scale.
