Piezoelectrostatic GeneratorHigh voltage generated by compact, lightweight equipment. Improved variable-capacitance electrostatic generator relies on piezoelectric effort to convert mechanical energy directly into electrical energy and contains neither transformers nor bulky high-voltage rectifiers. Requires neither external power supply to charge, nor vacuum to insulate electrodes.
