The effective temperature and surface gravity of the UV-bright star Barnard 29 of Messier 13Comparison of optical region spectrophotometry, IUE low dispersion fluxes, and the H-gamma profile with the predictions of metal-poor model atmospheres were used to derive the photospheric parameters of the UV-bright star Barnard 29. These were found to be T(eff) - 20, 250 K, log g - 3.15 after the application of reddening corrections. A solar He/H ratio and the metallicity of Messier 13 were assumed.
