Parallel dynamic programming for on-line flight path optimizationParallel systolic algorithms for dynamic programming(DP) and their respective hardware implementations are presented for a problem in on-line trajectory optimization. The method is applied to a model for helicopter flight path optimization through a complex constraint region. This problem has application to an air traffic control problem and also to a terrain following/threat avoidance problem.
