Artificial gravity as a countermeasure in long-duration manned space flightThe physiological problems caused by prolonged weightlessness are briefly discussed. Prolonged bed rest is examined as a simulant of prolonged microgravity exposure. The rotation of a spacecraft is considered as a means to counteract the problems caused by prolonged weightlessness.
