Cluster analysis of the hot subdwarfs in the PG surveyApplication of cluster analysis to the hot subdwarfs in the Palomar Green (PG) survey of faint blue high-Galactic-latitude objects is assessed, with emphasis on data noise and the number of clusters to subdivide the data into. The data used in the study are presented, and cluster analysis, using the CLUSTAN program, is applied to it. Distances are calculated using the Euclidean formula, and clustering is done by Ward's method. The results are discussed, and five groups representing natural divisions of the subdwarfs in the PG survey are presented.
