Flow diagnostics by resonant holographic interferometryThis paper describes a resonant-holographic-interferometry (RHI) technique for nonintrusive flow diagnostics, that relies on the index of refraction variation close to a spectral line. This technique makes it possible to obtain interferograms that are species-selective along with quantitative full-field information for the species under study. The application of the RHI technique to flow fields is analyzed together with measurements of flow parameters such as velocity, pressure, and temperature. The advantages of RHI technique over other nonintrusive diagnostic techniques, such as LIF and planar LIF, are discussed.
