Solar-Cell Cover Glass Would Reduce Reflectance LossProposed faceted cover glass takes advantage of total internal reflection to increase efficiency of solar photovoltaic cell. Angled facets of cover glass refract light as it enters. Portion of light reflected at surface of solar cell undergoes total internal reflection at surface of cover glass, rather than partially escaping, and returns to surface of solar cell.
