Density fluctuations in strong Langmuir turbulence - Scalings, spectra, and statisticsA recently developed two-component model of strong Langmuir turbulence is applied to determine the scalings, spectra, and statistics of the associated density fluctuations. The predictions are found to be in excellent agreement with extensive results from numerical solution of the Zakharov equations in two and three dimensions.
