Status of Ka-band TWT transmitter technologyThe TWT types that are available for application to SEI are reviewed and evaluated in terms of their level of development and their suitability for use in space. The NASA OAET program for enhancement of efficiency and lifetime of TWT's is reviewed and the application of this technology to Ka-band devices is illustrated.
